Rafter E Family Farmstead

Rafter E Cattle Company was founded in 1996, by Curtis Elburn, in Peru, Indiana. Curtis had a passion for Texas Longhorns and has been producing world class registered Texas Longhorns ever since. Along with his passion for world class show cattle, Curtis had a vision of providing his family with fresh beef. Curtis is now passing the torch and sharing his knowledge of raising cattle with his daughter, son in law, and grandkids who also raise a herd of Boer goats and poultry. With the family now involved in more than cattle, decisions had to be made. What to name the business? How does the business now look? Can we provide for more than just our family? Can we spread the word of heart healthy meat to our community? After a round table family meeting, Rafter E Family Farmstead was born.
