When Skyler Majors was a child he found a mentor in his grandfather, David Barrickman. David, the founder of Wildflower Ridge Honey, taught Skyler how to care for the bees of Wildflower Ridge, instilling in him the same passion for beekeeping and educating other about honey. Under his tutelage, Skyler became a sixth generation beekeeper. When David received a stage 4 cancer diagnosis in 2022, Skyler assisted him in running the business while David underwent treatment. Following David's passing in 2023, Skyler did as they had agreed and took on the responsibility of continuing Wildflower Ridge's legacy.
David was known in the community as a beloved business man, role model, and leader. Skyler is humbled to step into this role and honor his grandfather's strong commitment to Wildflower Ridge Honey, which still resides on "The Ridge" in Anderson, Indiana. Skyler is excited to continue to grow the family business in the coming years and provide local raw honey to our community just as his grandfather did for the previous 20 years.
